Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a procedure Dr. Borchers uses to repair chipped or cracked teeth, as well as enhance aesthetics through small cosmetic changes to correct discoloration, close spaces or alter a tooth's shape. Bonding is considered to be an alternative solution to having porcelain veneers. The procedure is completed in as little as 30 minutes and can radically improve the appearance of a tooth, leaving patients feeling extra confident with their new smile!

What to expect

Dr. Borchers begins by prepping the tooth by gently etching the surface and applying a conditioning liquid, which works as an adhesive to stick the bonding material to the tooth. When the liquid sets, he applies a tooth-colored resin material to the area being treated and then molds it to the desired shape. The resin is hardened under a special light beam. Once done, the resin is shaped, trimmed, and polished to match a natural appearance.
